long lake kayakingThis includes 3 meals per day served family-style in the main lodge. For those who are going away for the day we provide a packed lunch. For those wishing to come back for lunch, we will provide a sit down lunch.

Meal times are 7:00 a.m., 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m. This can be changed to meet your needs, especially if you are the only group in camp.

We are glad to accommodate special dietary considerations if we have advance notice given to us at the time you send your deposit.

Linens are provided in the spring and summer but guests must bring sleeping bags and towels in the fall and winter months, when doing laundry becomes more problematic.

Canoe and kayak rentals vary in price, depending on your preference. We have several Old Town canoes varying in lengths from 15 foot to 20 foot. We also have 2 Grumman 20 foot canoes with motors, as well as one 22 foot fiberglass Scott Canoe with motor. All these craft are legal for use anywhere within the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, except for Allagash Lake where no motors are allowed.

Rental rates vary from $10.00 per day for the occasional user who wants to paddle for a couple of hours to $50.00 per day for the avid fly fishermen or family outing who wants to spend the day motoring around Long Lake and Umsaskis Lake in our 22 foot Scott Canoe. We also will outfit canoe trips on the Allagash and provide shuttle service. Canoe rentals for day trips or overnight trips on the Allagash are $23.00 per day, which includes paddles and life jackets. We will do shuttle service of your vehicle. Rates will vary depending on the length of the trip. We can accommodate overnight canoe trips for you as well.

What To Bring

  • You should bring foul weather gear and warm clothing for all times of the year. A nice day here is extremely beautiful but a foul weather day is no fun if you are not prepared.
  • Insect repellent is always handy to have as well as sunscreen.
  • Any drinks that you would like to have you should bring with you as it is a long ways to the store.

Our cabins are mostly log cabins built around 1950. There are showers and flush toilets in each cabin. The cabins overlooking Ross Stream are in good repair, clean and pleasant. They can accommodate two to four people per cabin.
